Botox injections are usually very safe and without risks or side effects especially when done by experienced doctors in clinical settings. However, if administered incorrectly, you may experience some serious side effects. Avoid Botox procedure if you are pregnant or a nursing mother.
Though side effects are temporary, they only last as long as the Botox is active which can be for four to six months. Following are the effects which may occur if administered improperly:
- Pain where Botox was injected
- Headache
- Bruising or swelling
- Symptoms like the flu
- Crooked eyebrows
- A tendency to drool
- Abnormally dry eyes
- Excessively watery eyes
